Iron Banner is back again this week! The game mode is Control.
Possible drops include shaders, emblems, ghosts, artifacts, The Clever Dragon (Pulse Rifle), The Silvered Dread (Machine Gun), chest pieces, and boots, all up to 400LL.
There is no questline this time for Iron Banner, and there are no Rank 3 or Rank 5 packages. All the vendor items for this IB are near-perfect.
Latest Rise of Iron Updates
October patch is now live! This patch brings the new maximum light level of 400. Certain activities will have their light level drops increased, and ghosts and artifacts will be added to Archon Forge. Collections are now available to reclaim Festival of the Lost Masks and Legendary Sparrow Horns.
Artifacts and ghosts will drop up to LL400 in Archon's Forge. Faction packs have an increase in ghost droprate. Eris' faction pack's rate of artifact drop will also increase
Wrath of the Machine Challenge Modes are now live! It will rotate between Vosik challenge mode and Aksis challenge mode.
LL400 items can be obtained from Strike Chests, Nightfall (LL380 recommended), Exotic Engrams, WotM HM raid drops, and Crucible activities.
Silver Dust no longer required for Iron Lord, Trials of Osiris, and Heroic Mode Raid Armour ornaments

Rank up packages for Iron Banner: Iron Banner no longer has rankup packages for hitting Rank 3 or 5. There is also no quest this time around.
Completing Faction Exotic Quests post RoI: Bungie acknowledged the issue where these quests may only be progressed if a player equips a "SPEKTAR" class item for their faction, or have the faction class item pre-RoI. These "SPEKTAR" items are found within the Chroma Faction Packs. Unknown when it will be resolved.
Wrath of the Machine - AC84 Time Trials
The one-hour completion mark has been shattered! Advit, d_steck, dekubleep, RedBeren, scorp425, and unclerew have set the new standard at 57m9s, while completing Aksis Challenge Mode! Very impressive! Who will be the next team to top that time?
In order to qualify for any FUTR time trials, we require 3 people be a part of FUTR for 6 player events. 2 are required for 3 player events. No cheese please!

FUTR Time Trials
JAN 2015 FUTR-AMA TRIATHLON
Description: Event consisted of VOG HM, CE HM, and KF NM. Ran in succession.

Challenge your fellow clanmates by submitting an entry to the time trials! To get the link to your game, go to destinytracker.com. Type in your PSN name (make sure the toggle is switched to PSN). Hit search. On the tabs, go to Game Viewer. You can use the dropdown to filter by Raids. Find the game you want to submit and click on it. When the page loads, you'll see your fireteam members and the time to complete.
Included on this page is a link which you will submit. It looks like this: http://destinytracker.com/dg/3299347210. By using destinytracker, we're able to get consistent times across all submissions.
NOTES: For 6 man events, we require at least 3 members be in the FUTR clan. For 3 man events, 2 must be in FUTR. All fireteam members must be present from start to finish.
In a game of Control, you get 50 bonus points per kill for holding a zone. A kill is worth 100 points. A kill plus one zone is 150. A kill plus two zones is 200, etc.
DO NOT TRY TO CONTROL ALL THREE ZONES. I cannot stress this enough. It flips the spawns and can turn the tide in a game in less than 30 seconds. Control two zones, and shoot the other team as they come into the zones. This allows you to stack supers and create orbs. This is how you go owning people in this game.
Last but not least - For the love of God, wait to pick up the Heavy for your teammates sake. As a general rule, if there is red on the radar, go ahead and pick it up. If there is not, wait for your team.
Let's start from outside the vault. Here are a few tips to help you capture and defend the plates while the spire forms:
You'll begin the raid by splitting your group of six into three sets of two. Two will rush to the left side, two to the right, and the remaining two will stand guard near the door to the vault. From these three locations, you'll be able to focus on the four possible enemy spawn points.
To start the encounter, step on the sync plate to begin the process. Once the plate is formed, you DO NOT need to stand on them to keep them active. You only need to defend them from the Praetorians. The same will apply later in the raid, during the fight with Atheon.
While guarding the plates, know that only the Pratorians can deactivate a sync plate.
The easiest way to take down Minotaurs and Praetorians is with a Swordbreaker (or any effective Void Shotgun). With your trusty void shotgun in hand, aggressively approach the target and slide. Your slide will leave you kneeling at which point the melee from the target can't/won't hit you. Blast away. The shotgun will melt the shield and take down the enemy.
Communicate! Let your teammates know when and where the Praetorians are spawning.
ORACLES, RELICS, & TEMPLARS
Now that you made it inside the vault, your first set of challenges await:
When defending the confluxes, you can (and should, if HM) hide during the legion portion. If you're on the right, there is a ledge on the far right edge of the stage you can drop down to. Left and middle will typically hide in spirit bloom cave (hole in the wall, left side of the stage). If you are unable to hide, you can handle the fanatics by not letting them get too close while chaining supers with you teammates.
General advice for the oracles section is to call out what you see, when you see it. Keep firing until you are notified you destroyed the oracle (they can sometimes be glitchy). Lastly, all oracles can be shot from up top, including hidden right and hidden left (which can be a bit tricky if you're not in the correct position). However, one person will have to drop down to start the encounter.
General relic controls are: trigger to attack, grenade to cleanse, and punch to fly faster (when in air) and break out of containment fields. To take down the templar's shield, use your super (once full) and direct the blast toward the templar. Watch out for the containment fields!
And finally, if this is your first time on hard mode and the fatebringer drops after defeating the templar, please mute your mic while celebrating. Also, if anyone asks, tell them this is your second time it's dropped. Trust me.
GORGON MAZE AND THE JUMPING PUZZLE
Time to move on to your next challenge - the Gorgon maze and jumping puzzle:
Once you've completed the Templar section, it's time to make the descent farther into the vault. There are two exits from this area: one directly behind the templar and the other being the hole in the wall on the left hand side (This is the route most, including myself, take). When you first enter the hidden path on the left, you'll find a materials chest that may or may not (Protip: it does not) affect the exotic drop rate of the upcoming Gorgon chest.
As you're dropping down the path, take your time and stagger your jumps as to not take too much damage. If you managed to stop the templar from teleporting, there is an extra material chest as you move along this path.
At the bottom, you will see the fabled Gorgon "Giver of Exotics and/or Tears" Chest. That's not the official name, but I'm trying to make it happen. You can open this chest once per character on both NM and HM. If you open on HM first, you will receive drops for both modes.
Moving on to the maze, teams will sometimes wipe to reset the timing on the Gorgons. Speaking of Gorgons, do not shoot, sprint, double jump, melee, throw grenades, or go invisible (hunters pls). If a Gorgon spots you, you do have the opportunity to quickly kill one before they alert the others. Killing your first Gorgon will award you with grimoire.
At the jumping puzzle, take your time and watch the pattern of the platforms. Starting from the first platform from exiting the maze, all three classes can jump on the first platform, jump to the second, and a final jump toward the wall. It's extremely important that you manage your jumps -- you want to keep your horizontal momentum while saving a bit of your jump for when you land. For hunters, use your triple jump. If you try blinking, you're gonna have a bad time.
If you die at the bottom, you can (usually) be revived saving you from having to jump down again.
And lastly, have fun and don't get discouraged. The jumping puzzle can be one of the more frustrating and time-consuming areas of the raid. That said, most fireteams will (and should) give you the time needed to make it on your own.
ATHEON - LET'S END THIS
Time to face off against the gatekeeper and Atheon:
If you fall behind on Oracles once in the Portals, you must quickly make a decision and get out. Get back to the other side and live to fight another round. You will only get wiped if the Oracles expire while you are still in the Time Gate. You will not get Time's Vengeance buff nor will you be able to hold up a long lasting shield with the Relic, you WILL live to fight another round. An alternate strategy is to send a fireteam member who wasn't teleported into the portal to help out.
Use Super Good Advice on Oracles and Containment Shields. When leveled up, almost all misses go right back into your magazine... and guess what? You got it, Containment Shields and Oracles COUNT AS MISSES. This means when you get teleported, you can melt the Oracles and never have to reload your weapon. Nothing is more effective.
If you do not have the SGA or Corrective Measure during the Atheon encounter, use an LMG. Hancannons and Scout Rifles have a damage penalty against Oracles
Don't shoot Atheon with rockets or grenades, this makes him move. You want him to stand right in the middle and snipe/shoot right into that little white spot on his mid-section. I'd call it a stomach, but honestly, does Atheon eat? Maybe he feasts on the souls of guardians... who knows?
Call out where you get teleported to at the Atheon encounter; Venus/Right/Green/Jungle or Mars/Left/Red/Desert. Alternatively, for those outside, look at the mini map. There's an arrow that falls offscreen that'll show you which side they're on.
Stop jumping during the Atheon encounter on hard. There is a containment shield
Also, when you get to atheon, USE YOUR SUPERS ! After each times vengance, you instantly gain your super. Gunslingers can shoot oracles, or ads inside venus/mars, or supplicants if not teleported. Warlocks, please run void. A well placed nova bomb can clear venus or mars, or the group of supplicants as the come towards you. Either grenades work well. Titans, run bubble bro, with weapons and stun grenades. While your super wont help clear sups or ads, your nades will suppress the hob shields, and the minotaurs teleport. Drop your bubble on the back edge of the island between the 2 sync plates, or at the entrance door (whichever strategy your team likes) so everyone gets the weapons of light benefit.
BONUS TIPS & TRICKS
Here are a few more pieces of trivia for the VOG:
There is an alternate path to the Templar's Well known as the Trials of Kabr located just below the first chest inside the Vault. Just drop off while facing the ledge in the direction you just came from down the path and you will see it. Titans and Hunters should have no problem making it into the alternate pathway, Warlocks are a little more difficult.
There is an Alternate Path on the Jumping Puzzle. Head through the hole in the rocks on the left and be careful dropping down. There are extra blocks to jump on and a platform in the distance you can get to that has a broken time gate on it. Watch it here.
There are two paths through Gorgon maze. On NM, you can stay on the ground up until you exit the area. On HM, you'll want to jump on the rocks before the exit to dodge the Gorgons.
Oracles have a noticeable damage resistance to handcannons and scout rifles. The added perks to Fatebringer and VoC merely balance this out. That said, if you don't have these two weapons, use auto rifles, pulse rifles, or machine guns instead to take them out.
And finally, you'll gain no XP or glimmer in raids, so have your weapons leveled. However, an excellent glimmer farm can be had at the gatekeeper checkpoint (before Atheon). You can get here by getting the Gorgon checkpoint and soloing down or by switching characters at the checkpoint -- just make sure you tell your fireteam first!
NOTE: This guide was originally created for flawless raider.
Have one person solo the abyss. Having only one person go through it, makes the thrall more predictable and minimizes people falling in holes.
My personal favorite setup for the abyss is a void Warlock with shatter, bloom and annihilate. Max speed + MIDA with the +2 agility. This allows me to solo almost every time. One well placed Nova will take out roughly 25 thrall that are chasing you and instantly fill your super again if you are wearing your Obsidian Mind.
Other options are Hunter with invisibility and the ledge cheese.
Do this straight up. Many people have no clue what this means. But the encounter is pretty straight forward. Stand on the plate and the two totems. Get people across one at a time, don't forget to kill the gatekeeper when crossing. When three are across, the three on the old side step off the plates and totems and the three that are already across take over from the other side.
It is important to down the Swordbearer quickly and get across because the Gatekeeper is a real pest to those that are on the other side.
Forget about the chest at the end. Steady wins the race. Take out the first Shrieker and get to safety. Then move as a unit, taking out thrall and then the next Shrieker. Get out, get to safety and repeat. No sense in rushing it.
Send two people to the left and everyone else to the right. One person left goes in the chamber and uses their freshly minted, maxed Gjallarhorn to shoot the witch twice in the face. Reload, shoot the Shrieker and get out. The other is in the tower to draw attention of the Knights so the first guy can do the aforementioned.
On the other side, do the same. Only 3 in the tower to take the Knights out to get ready for the push to the Deathsinger. SEND YOU BEST, MOST EXPERIENCED TO TAKE OUT THE WITCHES. This is probably the biggest trouble spot.
When it is clear to get the Deathsinger, all six will go in. Four from the team will work on Knights and the Deathsinger, It is important that they push in past the first room with that middle pillar to avoid Cursed Thrall exploding. This gets many people dead. As mentioned, four push in and two stay in the room with the pillar at the entrance to the chamber and watch the door where the exploding bastards come out.
Gjallarhorn the Deathsinger and everyone get back to the left and right towers. Take your time, take out ads.
IMPORTANT NOTE: GJALLARHORN HAS PROXIMITY DETONATION. Do not blow yourself up. This has happened to me and people I know more times than I can count.
Probably the easiest part of the whole raid, but be nice to your Swordbearer. If you have not run the sword, you have no idea. It's nerve racking - Crota is fickle and glitchy, and it is easy to mess up. Left side strategy will do. If it's not there, don't rush it. Remember, it's not a race!
If it takes you three rounds, fine. But you should be able to do it in two with even a moderately experienced Swordbearer. Everyone to the left. TWO PEOPLE ASSIGNED TO BOOMERS. This includes the left tower and the bridge where that pesky one occasionally appears. Watch your left to right movement, and try not to blow yourself up!
From your PS4, open your trophies. Go to Destiny. Find the Guardian Lord trophy. If it is complete, preview the image. Hit the share button on the PS4 controller. Send the image to one of your friendly FUTR mods, and we'll take care of the rest! If you don't see your screenshot, remind us.
Hey everyone! FUTR activity is through the roof! But that also means we're getting more feedback on some less-than-desirable actions from some of our members. We'd like to remind everyone here that t100 has a built-in reporting feature. If you're having issues with a fellow FUTR guardian (this also applies to anywhere in the100), you can visit their profile page and click the 'report user' button in the upper right-hand corner.
We've instituted our own policy on how we deal with multiple reports. As much as we would like to treat each case separately, we just don't have the time. Therefore, justice will be swift.
Examples of when to use the report feature:
• Players not arriving for scheduled games.
• Getting kicked from a lobby for unjust reasons.
• Players leaving lobbies for unjust reasons.
• Players repeatedly being a dick (in-game) after warned.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not abuse the reporting feature. That will get you removed from the100 (outside of our control).
Keep in mind that you're negatively affecting your fellow guardian - use good judgment. You elected to be here - as did everyone else. Let's keep it awesome for all.
In the first ever Prison of Elders oriented FUTR event, we will be taking on all three challenges: 32, 34, and 35 PoE. As usual, get yourself a group of guardians together and get ready to see who can fell the challenge the fastest. But alas… there’s a catch. A clever team name, theme, and group photo (of your guardians somewhere in the Prison) are required in order to submit for the leaderboard. Team themes are of your choosing and can be anything as long as you follow it for the entirety of the event… you’re on the honor system here FUTR guardians. Some theme examples: All titans, all defender. Bubble trains for days. All using a shared weapon like Gjallarhorn or Fatebringer, or hell… all y1 weapons. You get the point.
Multiple teams are encouraged. Enter as many times as you like. Don’t be boring. The theme “all year 2 weapons and gear” is lame… not banned under the rules, just boring. Try to have some fun with it.
A “best in show” will be awarded for the best theme and photo combo, as well as an overall speed winner. As usual, time submissions will be required through Destiny Tracker.

From the same awesome folks that brough you FUTR-ama Raid Triathlon and Prison-Palooza, we've thought up an all new way to breathe awesome back into Vault of Glass.
What: This will be an “on level” raid run of Hard Mode Vault of Glass. You will be REQUIRED to use all Vault Weapons (hooray! VoC and Fatebringer!!!) and Armor. We are still looking into solutions for your ghost and artifact as getting low drops may be difficult. MAX LEVEL is 150.
When: TBD, depends how long this grind takes, but I imagine you will have 3-4 weeks to prepare and “gear down” for the raid.
Where: You guessed it, only in AC84, home of FUTR.
Why: Do you need to ask? It's always the same reason: because we can and some a-hole (thanks, solo) thought it would be fun.
HOW TO JOIN:
Let us know if you are interested and we will keep a running list of all participants posted up for the event. This will give us an idea of how many games to schedule and who will need help getting gear.

What Are Sherpas?
Sherpas are high level players who are willing to help other members through the tough stuff like raids and nightfalls. They're friendly and patient with noobs, so don't be afraid to ask them for help!
How Do I Become A Sherpa?
To become a sherpa, just go to My Account > View Profile, click "add/ remove tags", and add "sherpa" as a tag. You'll be listed at the the top of your group's page. Then try creating some games and just mention you're a sherpa and noobs are welcome in the details/ notes section of your game. Thanks for helping others!

How Do I Become A Mod?
You become a mod by increasing your Activity Score above approx 50 if there are no mods, or above approx 70 if there already is a mod (NOTE: it slowly increases over time otherwise eventually everyone would become a mod. You may need more than 50 or 70 points if the group has existed for a long time). Once you do, you'll see a "become mod" link at the top of your group's page. Click that and boom: you're a mod. Groups are limited to a max of 3 mods.
How Do I Increase My Activity Score?
Increase your activity score by posting gaming sessions (2 points), joining gaming sessions (1 point), and spreading the word about the site using this customized link in forums, social media, etc. (5 points):

As a mod, you're the friendly face of your group. Welcome new members in chat, and help them figure out how to post or join their first game. Keep the group activity high by creating and joining games as often as you can. You can also pick a nickname for your group and add latest news to the top of the page. Lastly, you can kick any members if they have 5 or more reports (report a user by clicking "report user" on their profile).
Sherpas are experienced players who are willing to help out less experienced players with the tougher stuff like Vault of Glass, Nightfall strikes, etc.
Check this box if you're offering to be the sherpa for this gaming session, helping newer players through this level for the first time. You can also post a link to your gaming session on www.reddit.com/r/fireteams so others can join.
Welcome to The 100!
1. Join A Group
If you haven't yet, join a group by clicking "Join Group" at the top of the page. If you're already in a group, click "My Group" at the top of the page to go to your group.
2. Say Hello In The Chat
Introduce yourself in the chat, for example "Hey guys, just joined and excited to start raiding!" or "SALUTATIONS FELLOW INTERNET FRIENDS!" if you want to sound like a weirdo.
3. Post A Gaming Session
Click the blue "new gaming session" button to post your next gaming session. Try to post it at least a day in advance so people have time to join. When it's gametime, you have to manually invite everyone using xbox/psn.
It'll automatically email all members when you post a gaming session, so don't double post or create fake gaming sessions.
4. Join A Gaming Session
Even if it's not your preferred activity or time, join a game in your group to start getting to know the other people and keep your group activity high. Then those people will join your game later when you need a full raid team. If it's gametime and you haven't recieved an invite, message the group creator thru xbox/ psn and ask them to invite you.
5. You Can Join Up To 3 Groups
You can also leave and join a group at anytime, so if you don't like your group click browse groups and find one you like better.
