The Division 2 on The100 right now: 2 sessions scheduled in the last 30 days and 5 groups active in the last 30 days.

The Division 2's hardest group content is built for eight. A raid puts two four-agent sub-groups into one operation, and Ubisoft opened matchmaking for raids only on the easier Discovery difficulty. On Normal, somebody has to collect seven other people and get them to the same pilot at the same time.

There are no Division 2 sessions scheduled here right now, so a post with the activity, your platform and a start time is the first thing the next agent looking for a group will see. Below is what each kind of group needs and what to put in a post so it fills.

Raids are where the matchmaker stops

Raids open after the main story at Level 30, from the Mega-Map or the Pilot at the Base of Operations, and pay a weekly reward. They take up to eight players arranged as two sub-groups of four, and the player who creates the raid group is the raid leader — the only one who can start it.

Ubisoft built Discovery difficulty as the on-ramp, with matchmaking, for players who want to see a raid without a full team, and said matchmaking would be available in Discovery only, so Normal needs a team you bring yourself. It can be attempted with fewer than eight, but Ubisoft was blunt that it is balanced for eight.

The sub-group split matters when you build the team. Specialization talents apply to your own sub-group of four, so two balanced squads of four do better than eight agents who all brought the same build. Decide the split before you load in, not at the first wipe.

A scheduled post solves the actual problem: the eight people need to exist at the same hour, on the same platform. "Normal, first clear, will explain mechanics, Thursday 8pm Eastern, PS5, mic required" fills from a different pool than "Normal, know-what-to-do, quick run", and both are worth posting.

Modes that matchmake, and when a group still helps

Countdown, Descent and Summit all have in-game matchmaking, so you rarely need a post just to start one. The reason to bring people you know is what happens when someone leaves.

Countdown takes up to eight agents against a power-plant timer, and quitting loses your progress; in the final mission there are no respawns. One stranger leaving early costs the whole lobby. Descent is a one-to-four player run that strips your gear and has you rebuild from skills, talents and weapons found along the way — and you lose what you collected if you quit or die. Summit is a hundred-floor climb for up to four with checkpoints, which suits a regular group that picks up where it stopped last time.

For a single mission right now, Call for Backup is the better tool: players with their On Call status set to All, or to Friends & Clan, can answer and earn Endorsements toward Shepherd Ranks. It finds you help for the next twenty minutes. It does not find you the same people tomorrow.

Dark Zone groups

There are three Dark Zones in Washington D.C., and they are where a group earns its keep. Contaminated loot has to be extracted by helicopter, you have to defend it while the rope is down, and an extraction is exactly where Rogue agents go looking for something to steal.

A PvE Dark Zone, with Rogue protocols turned off, is now a permanent part of the rotation alongside the normalized PvP version, so say which one you mean. A post that says "PvP Dark Zone, want a group that will hold extractions and hunt Rogues" and one that says "PvE Dark Zone, farming, no PvP" are looking for entirely different people.

Platform is the first line of any Division 2 post

Right now The Division 2 matchmakes across the PC storefronts only. Steam, Epic and Ubisoft Connect players play together; PlayStation and Xbox each have their own pool, and console co-op needs PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass. A raid post without a platform cannot fill.

Ubisoft has announced PC and console crossplay for November 2026, on by default and switchable off at the Character Selection screen. Once it is live, the platform tag becomes a preference rather than a wall — but until then, lead with it.

Other places Division 2 players find groups

In-game matchmaking from the Mega-Map is the right answer for anything with a Matchmake option, and Call for Backup covers a single hard mission. r/TheDivision_LFG and r/DivisionLFG suit "on now" requests and clan classifieds, and are less good for anything planned days ahead.

A posted session here has a start time and a fixed number of open slots, which is the shape a Normal raid needs: eight named people, one night, everyone on the same platform.

The Division 2 LFG — Frequently Asked Questions

Does The Division 2 have raid matchmaking?

Only on Discovery difficulty. When Ubisoft introduced Discovery as an easier raid mode, it said matchmaking would be available in Discovery only, so Normal needs a group you bring yourself. That is the main reason Division 2 players use clans and LFG posts.

How many players do you need for a Division 2 raid?

Raids are built for eight players in two sub-groups of four. You can start with fewer, but Ubisoft balanced them for eight, and raid matchmaking is limited to Discovery, so on Normal nothing fills the gaps for you. The player who creates the raid group is the leader and the only one who can start the raid.

Is The Division 2 crossplay?

Partly. Today crossplay connects the PC versions on Steam, Epic and Ubisoft Connect, while PlayStation and Xbox each play separately. Ubisoft has announced full PC and console crossplay for November 2026, enabled by default and switchable off at the Character Selection screen.

How many players can play The Division 2 together?

Four in a normal group, which covers the campaign, open world, Descent and Summit. Raids take up to eight in two groups of four, and Countdown also takes up to eight.

How do I find a group for the Dark Zone in The Division 2?

Post or answer a session that names the Dark Zone type, since the PvE version with Rogue protocols off and the normalized PvP version attract different players. Say your platform, as consoles do not cross over yet. For a group you can rely on at extractions, a clan that plays the Dark Zone regularly is better than a new group each night.
